𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐘𝐨𝐮, 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐔𝐩 (Again)

For the second straight year, your support allowed us to hand out holiday gift bags to our Workforce crew. During the distribution, one of our crew members said, “This will be the only Christmas gift I get. From my boss.”

That hit me with mixed emotions but served they’re also a powerful reminder of why this work matters. Many of us have the privilege of choosing how we celebrate the holidays. For some of the people we work alongside each week, that choice simply isn’t there.

Thanks to this always amazing and supportive community, the gift bags were filled with more than just necessities. Each one included a hoodie, new socks, gift cards to Walmart, Food Lion, and McDonald’s, plus snacks and soap. Practical items but also things that offer warmth, flexibility, and a bit of comfort during a season that can be especially hard.

This was about care. It was about dignity. It was about showing people that they are seen, valued, and supported by a community that cares deeply about them.

And honestly, by the end of the day, I wasn’t sure who was more excited, me handing out the gifts or the crew receiving them. That shared joy is something I won’t forget.
