March Trashness 2026

This March, embrace the competitive spirit of March by joining our Adopt-the-Block March Trashness Challenge!

We're challenging our community to a friendly but fierce competition to see who can net the most trash by the end of the month. Lace up, grab your picker, and let’s see who cuts down the nets this year.

🏀 March 1 – March 31 | All In Challenge

March Trashness officially tips off! Participants earn points all month long by cleaning up their adopted blocks and logging their impact. Every bag, bulky item, and piece of litter helps your score

🚮 April 1 – April 8 | The Filthy Four

The top four point earners participants advance to the championship round. During this final stretch, every cleanup matters as competitors battle it out for the top spot.

🏆 April 11 | Championship Announced

We’ll crown the March Trashness champion in person at Riparian Beer and Wine. Join us to celebrate the impact, recognize top performers, and cheer on this year’s winner.

Earn Points

Here’s how scoring works:
🏀 2 points → One full bag of trash
🏀 3 points → Anything bigger than a kitchen bag
🏀 1 point → Any other large item

  • Categories of winners: 

    • Most Outstanding Picker: Adopt the Block March Trashness champion

    • Highlight Reel Find For the most unexpected item pulled off the bench (aka the curb).

    • And-One Award For a single pickup so impressive or ridiculous it deserved bonus points.

  • 2 points → One full bag of trash

    3 points → Any bag largeer than a kitchen bag

    1 point → Any other large item (be sure to list it under the notes section

    • The top four point earners go all in the championship round. The champion will come out of these top 4 participants!
